I love going here! Such a diverse crowd and karaoke nights are UNMATCHED compared to any karaoke I've attended elsewhere. People get SO into it and it creates such a wholesome experience. I come here to meet up with friends, play pool, sing terribly (but enjoy myself) and even get some fresh air while sipping on a beer. They never give me trouble when my service dog is with me and I value that respect greatly. With the exception of maybe two others places in WP, everywhere else on the strip SUCKS. When you come here, you get to live and unwind the way a human being deserves to. Luke, Allen and Kat are the best!!

The only downside is they don't serve food, but they have zero issues with you having something delivered or brought in. The bartenders and customers are a lot of fun to talk with. Great place. We go here every time we're in town.

Oconners pub is the sister establishment to a pub in Blarney Ireland. Its got a great environment and typically friendly staff and a whole slew of different patrons! It's got good food a nice garden area in the back and is very busy most Friday nights.

Very chill vibe. I love everything that they have going on at the pub. From drinks, to billiards, to darts they have everything a pub needs! Their drinks as great as they are, are not expensive at all! I asked the bar tender if she could make me a mocktail, because I don't drink alcohol at all, and she was so kind and sweet about it! She made me this delicious cran-pineapple concoction with selzer, per her recommendation and I loved it! I had a great time!

Went there last weekend. Loved the 'chilled out' vibe, and area at the back - "Nelly's garden" just helped to cut the noise and relax.

I'm writing this review after a cool night out with friends. This is the type of bar you go to when you want to hang out with friends, chill out, and relax. The karaoke was a great touch. We were all singing along and just enjoying ourselves. The outdoor seating area is greatest part about the bar. I got to meet some of the friendliest and most down to earth people ever. This rating really goes out to the bartenders. This was my first time here and one of my friends was approached by a random man asking for money. Little did she know that he was carrying a box cutter with the blade out, and hiding it right behind his back. She went into the bar and he followed her in. We immediately notified one of the bartenders and he took care of it right away. He threw the guy out, and even just random bar patrons were all trying to take care of the situation. I would come back every week!

Went in for karaoke night yesterday and had an awesome time. The bartender Lucky was really accommodating and down to earth. Very cool spot for a night out, will definitely be back

Do not listen to the 1-2 star reviews. If you are looking for a night club with a DJ thumping a beat so hard you can't hold a conversation....this isn't the place for you. This is where you go to chill out and relax.

O'Connor's is a jukebox, pool table, and back patio kind of place. In White Plains this kind of bar is dying out because of the youth wanting every place to be a pretentious NYC rooftop. This is a diamond in the rough. This is a classic joint.

As far as drinks and service goes....the beer selection is great and we really LOVE the staff. Lucky always greets me with a glass in his hand and the question "Brooklyn Lager?". The whole staff is attentive and courteous....and almost always has a smile on their face.

This is absolutely our favorite bar in white plains....and we highly suggest it if you're looking for a less crowded spot with a more laid back vibe.

Selecting your "favorite" bar along Mamaroneck Avenue is really more of an exercise in determining the bar where you will:
1. Choke on the least amount of Axe,
2. See only 75% of the female clientele don something leopard or some sort of skanky dress from Express, and
3. Artfully dodge a bar fight.
Really, if I wanted to get the Jersey Shore experience, I'd just stay home and watch episodes on my DVR.

When we first arrived, LCD Soundsystem was blasting in the place. WIN.

Happy hour specials are Monday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm and feature $3.50 drafts and $5 martinis. Trivia on Thursday nights starts at 8:30. Two more wins!

Draft beers are actually respectable - Captain Lawrence, Goose Island, Sam Adams, Newcastle. When it's not happy hour, a draft beer will set you back $5. Slightly cheaper than Lazy Boy, although the selection of beers is not as extensive.

The bartenders were extremely friendly and conversed with us here and there. We also got popcorn with our beer, which as we all know, helps us consume more beer. Everyone was happy.

There is a foosball table in back and in order not to alienate the bros completely, there is a beer pong table and a few HD TVs to watch a variety of college sports.

Great hidden spot. Love catching a game here. Place is low-key, juke box, darts; perfect spot to chill. Bartenders are awesome.

This a fun little place tucked along the many bars found on Mamaroneck Ave. They have all the good beers on tap: Stella, Redd Apple Ale, Blue Moon, etc. and the dcor is lined with old magazine covers, bras and a bathtub (no kidding here). Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the bartenders are friendly and easy to talk to.

Definitely my favorite of the strips of bars on Mamaroneck Ave. It's much more relaxed and quite different in that it plays rock over blasting top 40 hits. The drinks are just okay and the decorations are cool. If you're looking for a good place to have a relaxed night, pick this one.

I started going to O'Connor's because of the trivia nights. I still go religiously, every Tuesday, for Tom's Trivia, but the bar itself has a great personality. Much more divey than any of the other bars on Mamaroneck Avenue. You won't find any pretentious yuppies here. Just real people having a fun night out. The backyard area is great on a nice night, and they recently added a pool table, which made for an awesome slap bet between two of my friends.

Overall, O'Connor's is just a chill bar with chill people. And they are dog friendly (but I wouldn't bring Fido when it's busy).

Why do we continually frequent a pub with no food, that's dirty, hit or miss bartenders and a barely functioning bathroom? Answer most commonly given? I want to see what will happen next! Seriously you never know what's goign to walk into O'Connors! And that's what's so damned exciting about the place. It's got a pulse and personality, character and intrigue. I can't NOT go! You never know what's gonna happen.... suits drink with tattooed skinhead freaks, blue collars drink with gays... it's all love here and no one is turned away. And that is exactly why the place has character and personality... nobody looking to start a problem goes there, everyone just gets along. And if you're looking to have a few, isn't that what you want?! God bless!

Im a regular at oconnors (including weekdays). Would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for the prices. $7 shots,$11 mixed drinks. About average for mamaroneck ave drink prices, however, as far as I know there's no happy hour (if there is, the bartenders have never made me aware of it), and the drink specials aren't great. Various other bars on the strip do $2 shot specials on weekdays. That's my only complaint.

Otherwise, the service is great. Bartenders are friendly and engaging, especially Kenny. It's a fun dive bar with a pool table, darts, and a nice outdoor patio in the summer with good seating. The music is very divey (taking back Sunday, fort minor, picture all those bands you used to listen to in high school) but during the weekends, later on in the night, is good. Jukebox should be updated.

The crowd is my favorite part of this place. Everyone I've encountered is friendly, chill, laid back and open minded. Dress is very casual. Pretty much anything goes. You'll see people coming from work in anything from suits to Abercrombie flannels.

Great people, service, environment, casual dress, but pricey drinks. Everybody should check this place out. Spin the wheel and tip well!!

FYI, they've bought an outside grill stand! So on good days, even in the dead of winter, check to see if their selection of hotdogs, burgers and other small and affordable selections are available!

around irish pub in white plains that serves a decent experience for folks who like to visit these types of dives, plus a pool table , a dart board and a working jukebox what else does a person need besides a drink or 2 or 3. the place is a nice size inside with the traditional pub look with a large bar area with many stools and more seating behind and around bar with plenty of tvs around to watch sports . a cool added feature is the rear outdoor garden patio when weather permits to eat and drink , it seems to fairly new and they have hotdogs grilling from the pics i have seen. the menu is pretty extensive and i notice the prices to be very fair , apps , burgers, salads , sandwiches, a bunch of assorted entrees and even a kids menu along with some irish traditional offerings . the folk here are friendly, patrons and staff to be exact . the music is a nice mix and tuesdays is trivia night which seems to be the norm at many pubs now. i sat at a table near the bar and was served quickly and never had to look around for server. i ordered two apps this time, first the burger sliders and then the chicken tenders both were really good, the burgers were well done and juicy and the tenders were golden brown and with the dipping sauce was enough for me today . overall this is a cool place to visit and i will be back cause my buddies like coming to these type of irish pubs and so do i.

A nice little dive bar in downtown White Plains. While downtown White Plains has gotten a little better over the years it's still a dicey place. Therefore this establishment fits right in with the vibe of the area. Strike up a conversation with two nice young ladies there on a date over a pint of Guinness. People in the joint were reasonably friendly but not horribly outgoing. I had a good time just chilling and enjoying my beer before I went back to my hotel. I'm not sure I was seek this place out but if I was just stumbling through town there are worse places to enjoy a pint.

Came here last Tuesday around 1 pm with my boyfriend and we were having a shitty day because our car broke down but luckily we came here for a few drinks and our bartender Cathy was so nice!!!

Came here on a Sunday last week with a few friends and had a great time playing pool. I love that we're allowed to bring outside food in, it provides options to customers other than your standard bar food. Our bartender, Ramona, was very nice and attentive to our needs. She made sure our drinks were always full and allowed us to pick the Pandora station. Will definitely return!
